Summary

The squad you love is out of time。 Prepare for the thrilling finale in the epic, best-selling Aurora Cycle series about a band of unlikely heroes who just might be the galaxy's last hope for survival。

Is this the end?

What happens when you ask a bunch of losers, discipline cases, and misfits to save the galaxy from an ancient evil? The ancient evil wins, of course。
Wait。 。 。 。 Not。 So。 Fast。
When we last saw Squad 312, they working together seamlessly (aka, freaking out) as an intergalactic battle raged and an ancient superweapon threatened to obliterate Earth。 Everything went horribly wrong, naturally。
But as it turns out, not all endings are endings, and the te4am has one last chance to rewrite thirs。 Maybe two。 It's complicated。
Cue Zila, Fin, and Scarlett (and MAGELLAN!): making friends, making enemies, and making history? Sure, no problem
Cue Tyler, Kal, and Auri: uniting with two of the galaxy’s most hated villains? Um, okay。 That, too。
Actually saving the galaxy, though?
Now that will take a miracle。

I for one cannot believe Jay Kristoff had a part in that ending。 The answer to their solution was love? LOVE?? Let's just show this absolutely hellish alien race threatening to take over the galaxy that they have the power to choose (which honestly, that part I'm fine with) and that love is the answer? The power to choose against a collective hive mind is a great way to end that but throw a heaping helping of love and friendship and warm fuzzies? 。。。more

I received a copy of Aurora's End from Allen & Unwin Australia to review。Rating of 4。5。The all-star team of Australian authors Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff present the third and final novel in their epic Aurora Cycle series, with the intense and clever young adult science fiction novel, Aurora’s End。Following the terrible battle near Earth between the human and Syldrathi fleets, the planet-destroying superweapon was fired, but nothing turned out as expected。 Now, the various members of the gala I received a copy of Aurora's End from Allen & Unwin Australia to review。Rating of 4。5。The all-star team of Australian authors Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff present the third and final novel in their epic Aurora Cycle series, with the intense and clever young adult science fiction novel, Aurora’s End。Following the terrible battle near Earth between the human and Syldrathi fleets, the planet-destroying superweapon was fired, but nothing turned out as expected。 Now, the various members of the galaxy’s last hope, Squad 312, have been flung throughout time。 Scarlet, Finian and Zila have been blasted back into the early days of Earth’s intergalactic travel, when there is no Aurora Legion, no friends, and a ticking clock of doom as the mysterious station they arrived at keeps blowing up。 Subsequently, Auri and Kal arrive years in the future, where the Ra’haam have won, and all hope seems lost。Trapped in a time loop, Scarlet, Fin and Zila will initiate a desperate plan (again and again) with a new friend, but their mission may end up having unimaginable consequences。 While in the future, Auri and Kal are trapped with the only weapon that can end the Ra’haam threat, if they can get back to the present。 Forced to team up with the most dangerous being in existence, Kal’s genocidal father, Caersan, Auri and Kal embark on a dangerous mission through the Ra’haam controlled future with some unexpected help。Back in the present, Squad 312’s leader, Tyler Jones, is also running out of time。 Still branded a fugitive by the entire galaxy, Tyler is the only person who knows that the Ra’haam are making their move to destabilise the various governments of the galaxy to start their invasion。 Forced to work alone and against the odds, Tyler needs to travel back to the one place he considers home, the highly secure Aurora Legion headquarters。 All three of these teams will need to survive impossible odds if they are to complete their missions and get back home。 But even if they succeed, can this ragtag team of teenagers really save the entire galaxy, or is the age of the plant-based parasite about to begin? This was an outstanding novel from Kaufman and Kristoff that served as an excellent and captivating end to this impressive series。 Kaufman and Kristoff really went all out here with Aurora’s End, producing a complex and entertaining narrative that separates out the various characters and presents them with impossible temporal obstacles。 I deeply appreciate the clever narrative that the authors wove around these compelling characters, and it ended up being an exceptionally fun and enjoyable young adult science fiction book that I powered through in two days。To see the full review, click on the link below:https://unseenlibrary。com/2021/11/01/。。。For other exciting reviews and content, check out my blog at:https://unseenlibrary。com/ 。。。more

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for sending me a free e-arc in exchange for an honest review。Let me preface this review by saying that I'm so, so sad to be saying goodbye to Squad 312。 Especially my sarky little shit, Finnian。 After the cliffhanger of Aurora Burning, Book 3 picks right back up where we left our Squad 312, and my GOODNESS。 What a ride! Ok so at first the Finian, Scarlet and Zila POVs got super annoying real quick buuuuuut they were completely necessary in the way they were written and I respect that。 I had to watch Edge of Tomorrow just to get it out of my system with the time loops。Tyler’s POV is always my favorite to read。 Zila that crafty brain!!So many happy/sad moments towards the end!I was wondering how it would end: who would make it? So many emotions。 I’m overall pleased with each character’s ending and was very entertained while reading。 The amount of detail and research that went into this storyline is astounding。 Would there be things I would change? Absolutely。 Does Aurora still fall flat as a character for me? Absolutely。 Am I glad to see more of Zila? I did have to read the first two books in the Aurora Cycle again, to make sure I remembered all the important information, but 'Aurora's End' does offer a quick recap of the characters and plot, which is very helpful。 I wish more series books would do this。 When we left Squad 312 at the end of 'Aurora Burning', they were all in imminent danger of death。 Fin, Scarlet and Zila were in the process of 'Plan B' - ramming the giant galactic weapon to stop it from destroying Terra's sun, Kal and Auri w I did have to read the first two books in the Aurora Cycle again, to make sure I remembered all the important information, but 'Aurora's End' does offer a quick recap of the characters and plot, which is very helpful。 I wish more series books would do this。 When we left Squad 312 at the end of 'Aurora Burning', they were all in imminent danger of death。 Fin, Scarlet and Zila were in the process of 'Plan B' - ramming the giant galactic weapon to stop it from destroying Terra's sun, Kal and Auri were inside the galactic weapon, fighting the terrifying Starslayer, and Tyler was a prisoner of the evil GIA AKA Ra'haam together with Kal's aggressive sister, Saedii。I can't say too much about what happens next, without plot spoilers, but the fate of the galaxy is in the hands of our intrepid heroes and it's a wild, nail-biting, heart-stopping ride。 There have been hints at time travel in the previous books, and time travel does often serve as convenient get-out-of-jail free card for plot holes, but in this case the time travel element is the DNA of the entire plot and all of the clues, the mantlepiece guns, and the cigarillo cases pay off in such a satisfying way I was able to thoroughly suspend disbelief。 The final clash of Auri and the Ra'haam lost me a little bit, but the conclusion of this epic, thrilling series was wonderfully wrapped up, with all of the heartstring tugging and sarcastic quips you would expect from this brilliant author duo。 Absolutely loved it! 。。。more

This is a trilogy and this is last book in the series。 Aurora’s End picks up just straight after what happened at the end of Aurora Burning which left us on a cliffhanger。 The last we seen of Squad 312, was they were trying to save Earth from impending doom while an intergalactic battle raged on。 Of course things went wrong but Squad 312 might have another chance to save the galaxy in this book。 I loved this book and this series。 I am kinda sad the series is coming to end as I will miss Squad 31 This is a trilogy and this is last book in the series。 Aurora’s End picks up just straight after what happened at the end of Aurora Burning which left us on a cliffhanger。 The last we seen of Squad 312, was they were trying to save Earth from impending doom while an intergalactic battle raged on。 Of course things went wrong but Squad 312 might have another chance to save the galaxy in this book。 I loved this book and this series。 I am kinda sad the series is coming to end as I will miss Squad 312。 Without trying to spoil this book too much Squad 312 find themselves in various situtations in this book。 Zila, Fin and Scarlett and Magellan find themselves stuck repeating time which was so much fun to read and Tyler, Kal and Auri find themselves teaming up with two villains。 This book is action packed and sad at times but as the previous two books it isn't without the humour and warm that makes Squad 312 so likeable as a group and indivduals。 Romance does bloom in this book and I did have two favourites but I won't say in case it is a spoiler for future readers。 Lots of loose ends and questions are tied up in this book。 So you won't be left with any unexplained questions。 The end is heartwarming and maybe too perfect but lets face Squad 312 deserve a bit of happiness and peace。 Highly entertaining and fun series and final book fitting to end a series。 One last point I have loved the covers of the books。 They stand out and are very striking。 I received ARC from Netgalley and Oneworld Publications, Rock the Boat for an objection review。 。。。more

Sacrifice, time paradox, friendship, time travel, and so much more come to a head in the finale of this epic space adventure。 Our squad is separated, literally by time and space。 The story flows through 3 separate storylines, Tyler in his journey with Saedii and getting back to his crew, Auri and Kal fighting Kal’s father and landing in the future, and Zila, Scarlett, and Fin ending up in a time loop in the past。。。。。 three separate times, yet all interwoven in this story。 BOY OH BOY WHERE TO BEG Sacrifice, time paradox, friendship, time travel, and so much more come to a head in the finale of this epic space adventure。 Our squad is separated, literally by time and space。 The story flows through 3 separate storylines, Tyler in his journey with Saedii and getting back to his crew, Auri and Kal fighting Kal’s father and landing in the future, and Zila, Scarlett, and Fin ending up in a time loop in the past。。。。。 three separate times, yet all interwoven in this story。 BOY OH BOY WHERE TO BEGIN?! I wasn’t expecting the time loop, future and past jumps to all work so well and not get lost (or as lost as you’d get while watching Tenet) but it works! The story all connects and our crew is put through the wringer。 The story keeps you on the edge of your seat because you don’t know who will actually make it out alive in the end and as the stakes keep rising and time runs out。。。。 will the galaxy even be able to survive? I have to say this was a thrill of a series and the this finale was well done。 I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know each of these characters, getting to love them and their relationships with one another, and seeing the bonds they have with one another grow with each trial。 Auri went from being a lost girl out of time to being tasked with sacrificing everything in order to save the world。。。。 but even then it might not be enough and she has to struggle with trying to find a way to save the world and keep her loved ones safe。 Kal has to face his father, his family, and ultimately how he will be able to go on if Auri leaves。 Tyler is stuck between trying to get back to his friends, to his sister。。。。 while also facing the girl he failed。 Scarlett is starting to see that maybe she finally has found someone that will last, if only they could get out of this dreaded time loop。 Fin is finally seeing that maybe he is worth something, that maybe he has found his place。 Zila has to find a way to get her friends out of the time loop while trying to solve the paradox and problems that they are facing。。。 and the decision that awaits her that will change her future。 Our squad is put through the last test, and ultimately they’ll have to have faith and burn brighter than they ever have before to make it out alive。**Thanks Netgalley and Random House Children's, Knopf Books for Young Readers for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review** 。。。more

I was so excited to see how this trilogy ends and this was better then anything I imagined。 It is full of great twists and surprises that made it impossible to put down。 I also really enjoyed the character development in this book, some of the events really pushed the characters into unexpected territory and it was interesting to see how that changed them。 It also has a great and really satisfying ending。 All around a wonderfully written book and conclusion to this series。

“Know no fear, my friends。 Know no regret。 The end is no ending。 And death no defeat”Incredible! It’s a bittersweet moment to say goodbye to Squad 312 but what a crescendo it was! The set-up of book 3 is that the main characters are seperated into three groups - I will talk about my thoughts on each of their stories below:Finian/Scarlet/ZilaThese three spent most of the book trapped in a time loop, forced to repeat the same few hours over and over until they can escape。 This was probably my favourite part of the book, I always looked forward to their chapters and the developments and revelations we discover。 I also liked the new character we meet in the time loop Nari。Tyler/SaediiTyler is now a prisoner of the unbroken and is trying to convice the rest of the galaxy to take seriously the threat of the Ra'sheem, as he is the only member of squad 312 left in the proper timeline。 I really like Tyler as a character (Im a sucker for the golden retriver bois) so I enjoyed his chapters and his interactions with Saedii (who is also very much my type lol)。Auri/KalThese two have found themselves transported into the future along with Kal's warcriminal father and must find a way to repair the weapon and travel back to the proper time to save the galaxy。 Kal and Auri are probably my least favourite characters of the group but the direction their story took in this book I actually really enjoyed and loved the themes it looked at。 I really like all the characters in the series but for me the romances are not very strong and are probably the weakest part of the book for me。 However I did quite like the developments between Tyler and Saedii and without giving too much away what happens when we meet future (dilf) Tyler ;)I think this series is a great sci-fi for young adult readers and those new to the genre, it introduces a lot of common concepts and tropes in a fun and easy to read way。 This installment also plays quite a lot with time which I think the authors did a good job of managing not to make it confusing and tying everything together in a satisfying way。 In conclusion this was an enjoyable conclusion with some really great found family moments and a fast paced plot that will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time, if you can get over some slightly cringy romance and cheesy writing。 。。。more

Time travel, big conflict, and sassy attitude? Check, check and double-check。 After a wiz-bang cliffhanger, Squad 312 is back in action for the epic conclusion of the Aurora trilogy。 Be prepared for new relationships (and some old ones, too) as the Squad fights to find their way back together to literally save the universe, umm, hopefully。 Written from distinct perspectives, readers will be eagerly turning pages as wit, action and great influences from all the hit sci-fi genres keep Aurora's End Time travel, big conflict, and sassy attitude? What a ride with some amazing characters。 This trilogy was quite an adventure and I'm sad to see it end。 I had a few moments in the book where I was confused as to why the the authors did what they did but hey, it's their book they can do what they want。 Overall I'm going to be sad to leave these characters behind and how they grew through the three books。 Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC for an honest opinion。 What a ride with some amazing characters。 This trilogy was quite an adventure and I'm sad to see it end。 I had a few moments in the book where I was confused as to why the the authors did what they did but hey, it's their book they can do what they want。 Overall I'm going to be sad to leave these characters behind and how they grew through the three books。 Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC for an honest opinion。 。。。more

Thank you netgalley for this free ARC。 Aurora's End is the last in this trilogy。 Aurora and Kel have dissapeared, Tyler Jones a prisoner or war, and the rest of the squad are living the same day over and over。 The threat of the Ra'hamm is beyond warning, they have come。 This book proves to be a satisfactory ending to a wonderful series。 It is action packed and ready to play with your heart strings in all the wrong ways。 Don't let the page count fool you。 Its worth the read。 Thank you netgalley for this free ARC。 Aurora's End is the last in this trilogy。 Aurora and Kel have dissapeared, Tyler Jones a prisoner or war, and the rest of the squad are living the same day over and over。 The threat of the Ra'hamm is beyond warning, they have come。 This book proves to be a satisfactory ending to a wonderful series。 It is action packed and ready to play with your heart strings in all the wrong ways。 Don't let the page count fool you。 Its worth the read。 。。。more

I was really excited about this book because the second one left you on a huge cliffhanger! That being said the cliffhanger was redeemed in this novel! Now you do have a recap at the beginning of the book so that was awesome, I feel like that was what helped me connect everything even though I have read the other two novels。 However, this book should come with an UGLY CRYING warning。 Late 2 am crying。 This is a book of action and there really are no dull moments, the authors did a very great job I was really excited about this book because the second one left you on a huge cliffhanger! There are some deaths and secrets reveals that I honestly wasn't prepared for but it happened and I am kind of hoping that this is not the end, I mean I can see how it could be but it's also hard to walk away from this story! The family and relationships built in this series and it was amazing! I would definitely recommend this series if you loved the illuminae series then you will definitely love this one! Be prepared with tissues and support because you are going to need it! Thank you Netgalley and Random House Children's for the opportunity to read and review this one! I definitely enjoyed it and it was a great honor to read! 。。。more
